On the surface the DIY treatment seemed to be a quick, easy and inexpensive approach to close a gap. Unfortunately, the DIY treatment resulted a long-term, difficult and costly fix.
A deep bite is a malocclusion in which the upper front teeth excessively overlap the bottom front teeth when back teeth are closed. This is also called an overbite or closed bite.
A referral from the dentist might not happen if the dentist isn’t evaluating the bite. AAO orthodontists don’t require a referral from a dentist.
