Each registered student receives an assigned username and password, providing access to the program for 1 year. Students complete all 14 educational modules in sequence and take an online test after each one. Textbooks are available for purchase separately.

- Apply the skills and knowledge necessary to aid orthodontic specialists in the treatment of malocclusions.
- Explain the types and stages of orthodontic treatment and the orthodontic assistant's role as it relates to the orthodontic appliance process and the diagnostic records used from beginning to completion of treatment.
- Explain the orthodontic assistant's role in patient management from the beginning to the completion of treatment.
An online student support instructor stays In close contact,via e-mail, with individually registered students throughout the program.
A hands-on, intensive two-day workshop is also available for students, building on the educational foundation provided by the online program. Through the retreat, course graduates have the opportunity to perfect the skills necessary to provide patients with quality orthodontic care. State-of-the-art equipment is furnished, and experienced Academy-certified orthodontic assistants lead the workshop.
