AAO Insurance Programs Announce New Third-Party Administrator

The AAO Council on Insurance, in conjunction with the AAO Insurance Company (AAOIC), recently completed a request for proposal process to select a new endorsed insurance administrator. Effective February 24, 2014, the AAO has endorsed Pearl Insurance, a nationally recognized, third-party insurance administrator for the brokerage and administration associated with the group insurance program.

For the Life and Health program underwritten by New York Life (NYL), Pearl Insurance’s duties include premium billing, collection, claim coordination, customer service responsibilities, application processing, and sales. This program includes the endorsed Term-Life, Long-Term Disability, and Professional (Business) Overhead insurance plans.

Pearl Insurance will also be responsible for all new business applications and sales for the AAOIC endorsed professional liability plan and other endorsed property/casualty plans including, Business Office Package, Workers Compensation, Employment Practices Liability (EPLI), and Cyber Liability.

This change is expected to be a seamless transition for members. The endorsed insurance phone number will remain the same. For members interested in purchasing any AAO endorsed insurance plan, Pearl’s professional staff of customer service representatives will be available at 800-622-0344 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST to answer any questions.
